After many years as a quilter, Carole came to AAF wishing to explore pattern alterations and new techniques in sewing garments. She warmed up with this knit from her stash, learning the importance of pre-altering her pattern prior to cutting it out and pattern placement on a large-scale repeat fabric. She skipped the front zipper closure choosing instead to make a keyhole opening with a narrow self-fabric tie. On Fridays, Carole and a friend drive from New Hampshire to spend all day sewing at AAF and is now a member in good standing of our family of dedicated sewists.
