Dress
My Bubbles dress was featured in the September 2012 issue of Thread's Magazine in the Reader's Closet section. It is Sandra Betzina V1210 dress made from an AAF knit that is 90% poly-microfiber, 10% lycra. This loose-fitting, pullover dress falls below mid-calf at center front, curving downward into an angled hemline at side seams. Armholes are slightly cut-in with a self fabric or contrast V neckband, sleeve inset and ties. I diverged from the pattern by choosing a belt over a tie, skipping the sleeve insets, and by serging most seams together using a 4-thread stretch knit setting. Hems were made using a twin needle. My neckband is piped with a tiny black contrasting knit. Fun dress to wear and oh so comfortable! I have made it at least four times in various prints and always with my signature piping!
