  Notes I began this coat and hat ensemble for my great niece Sydney with a Christmas 2009 date in mind. The buttons were back ordered, arriving late Feb 2010. (Need I say more!) Both the coat and hat are made from an Italian wool/mohair mix. Lining in both pieces is purple silk-like satin. Between the coat facing and lining is a 1/4" flat piping made from a silk charmeuse mini dot-like print which was also used to line the peplum. The contrasting bound buttonholes and piping are made from a double-faced felted wool knit. The hat has a purple grosgrain ribbon interior band; inside brim and piping are made from a double-faced felted wool knit. The under collar is made from a wool coating. The coat pattern is Burda 9596, hat is Burda 9587.
